“Moon Dog” | Vibrant Bonanza | 2011 Grey Gelding

Moon Dog has been used extensively on the ranch and is the kind of horse that makes life easier. He drags calves, doctors cattle, gathers horses and covers plenty of country. Standing at 14.3 hands, he’s a small horse with a big heart.

Outside of ranch work, Moon Dog has also been used for commercial work and photoshoots with brands including Boot Barn and Resistol, handling busy environments and new situations with ease.

Complete beginners have rode him for gathers like our branding and/or shipping, but he is not a plug. Still lots of life and will run down a cow or calf. We have never had children on him, but he is solid on the ground and has never had any issues. He is the only horse I would consider using to ride around with my two-year-old daughter and the first horse I rode after taking a year off.

This is not an easy horse to part with. He has been one of our favorites for a long time, but with younger horses coming up and other investments taking priority this spring, it is time for someone else to enjoy him.
